Archbishop Cupich is not the only Chicago Catholic in the news. Watch this very moving story of Rosemary Connelly, RSM, executive director of Misericordia, a center that cares for 600 developmentally disabled children and adults. When I was studying philosophy at Loyola Chicago, many Jesuit scholastics volunteered at Misericordia. It's an absolutely amazing place.
Sister Rosemary has been named a Chicagoan of the Year, an honor richly deserved. Sisters are my heroes.
